If you use bodog.com and deposit using an electronic check, and then the check bounces due to insufficient funds in your bank account, can bodog do anything. They claim they will report you to a third party collection agency and report you to the experian etc. However, isn’t online gambling in the US illegal? Would the collection agency have any right to collect on an illegal debt? Not to mention they never ask for you Social Security #. If the bank knew the checks were going to an illegal gambling site wouldnt they cancel the checks anyways?

i no bcz of this gambling situation people will now always wonder if the Spurs really took home the championship fairly..and thats what sucks for the Spurs bcz even the players themselves might have pondering questions..i’m not exactly a Spurs fan but i saw them through the whole season and they worked incrediably hardd so i give them props. I no the ref stated that he was going to list 20 other refs involved in this gambling ordeal so i guess we don’t no how many games have been screwed. So i’m wondering do you think the Spurs won fairly? What’s your Justification?

In response to water skipper…anyone who controls anything is capable of abuse. Gambling was prohibited by the government because of problems both socially and individually, now it endorses, sponsors and oversees this practice as a way to enrich their coffers. It is a sorry commentary that they are willing to sacrifice those individuals who can least afford the risk on an implausible chance just to misappropriate more money. As for not playing, I don’t, but have seen it destroy individuals and families. You may call it recreational…I call it irresponsible. Good luck on your education.

I disputed a debt with ultimatebet.com and now they threaten to report me to a collection agency. Seeing as how they are based outside the US, and online gambling is illegal in the US, what gives them legal leeway to have a collections agency come after me for an illegal debt?
